Yesterday Houdini officially landed in New York City for the first day of ER Accelerator. Launched one year ago, ERA provides capital and mentorship to early stage startups in New York City. ERA participants receive a $25,000 investment, free co-working space, awesome perks like free air travel, and most importantly access to an amazingly diverse network of entrepreneur and investor mentors. Although Houdini is based in Philadelphia, we jumped at the chance to spend the summer in New York after receiving a coveted invitation to join the ERA3 summer class.
Although barely a year old, ERA has already been named by Forbes as one of the 10 Hottest Startup Incubators. Alumni of ERA1 (Summer) and ERA2 (Winter) have gone on to receive funding from the likes of First Round Capital, ff Venture Capital, High Peaks Venture Partners, Lerer Ventures, Lightbank, RRE Ventures, and others.
